Discover Qatar Hotel quarantine booking

Recently there have been changes in the Qatar travel and return policy. The new guidelines will be applicable from 28th February 2022. If you haven’t gone through the Ministry of Public health (MOPH) policy yet, please don’t go for discover Qatar Hotel quarantine booking. Who all need to book a hotel for quarantine?

A centre licensed at a local ministry of health of Qatar should conduct the Covid-19 test of the travelers. Depending on the category you fall under, an additional PCR test is required within 36 hours of arriving in Qatar. The traveler will be bearing the expense for it. If the PCR test result is positive, the traveler will have to quarantine himself. 

These were the requirements before 28th February, which have changed now. The Qatari residents will not require any PCR test before arrival unless they are arriving from a country that is on the ‘red list’ and they are not vaccinated. All others travelers will require a PCR test within 48 hours of the flight’s departure time. Things to consider before quarantine booking

Recently there have been changes in the MOPH, and they have become more lenient than before. However, quarantine is still required, for travelers who are not residents of Qatar. Before you discover Qatar hotel quarantine booking, you need to consider some facts and carefully make the booking.

Once the booking is done for quarantine, you cannot make changes. However, the booking can be canceled before 14days of arrival if there are valid reasons, including a full refund. If the cancellation is within 14 days, they are subjected to 100% cancellation charges.

In case, you make the booking within 14-days of your arrival, the cancellation is non-refundable. You will not be able to change the dates therefore, it is recommended to be very sure about your quarantine package by reading the MOPH policies and then only book.

However, there are some exceptions for the above conditions for cancellation like:

  • The airline canceled the flight or changed the flight timings.
  • A positive PCR test, supported with documentary evidence that prevented traveling.
  • Quarantine exemption due to changes in rules upon entering into Qatar.
  • Changes in rules of entry into Qatar which materially affected your booking.

The bottom line is that you need to know your quarantine requirements before you make any hotel bookings for quarantine. Later on, making changes could be problematic.
