To tackle labour shortages that are affecting Germany's economy, the country will welcome around 400,000 skilled workers.

Most of Germany's immigration laws have already been eased in an effort to attract skilled foreign workers.

The German government has already made plans to make immigration easier for young foreigners who want to study or pursue vocational training there.

Not only does Germany welcome skilled foreign workers, but also unskilled workers who are in need of a job in Germany.

The skills gap in their staff is a problem for more than half of German companies. In order to fill the shortage of competent labour, companies are seeking workers from all over the world.
